The Heavy Duty pressure plate uses ACT’s precision cover stampings and heat-treated diaphragm in a configuration tuned for street driving, higher clamp load than OEM without the significant pedal weight increase that the Xtreme plate introduces. For most WRX owners who have done intake, exhaust, and tune work, the Heavy Duty plate is the correct level of clamp load. The Xtreme plate is for builds pushing the upper limit of what a single disc can hold.

The Performance Street sprung disc is ACT’s most popular disc for a reason. The high copper content in the organic friction material improves heat transfer.
