HJC – HJ-42 ShadeX Photochromic Shield

The HJC HJ-42 ShadeX Photochromic Shield is a photochromic replacement shield for HJC RPHA 12 and RPHA 12N helmets. It automatically adjusts its tint as light changes, giving riders a cleaner day-to-night setup without stopping to swap visors.

Why We Like It

ShadeX is a smart upgrade for street riders who deal with changing light, bright sun, shaded roads, tunnels, and late-day rides. The shield darkens in bright conditions and returns to a clearer state as light fades, so the helmet stays simple and the view stays sharp.

Why It Works For You

This shield gives you one visor solution with 99% UV protection, a 30% to 80% visible light transmission range, and Pinlock-ready anti-fog insert compatibility. Select this RPHA 12 and RPHA 12N version only if it matches your HJC helmet model.
