Shinko – 240 Classic Tire (Front/Rear)

Overview

A classic design with modern construction and modern performance.

Key Features

• Compounded for high mileage
• 90% aspect ratio, classic profile and tread pattern
• Aramid belting offsets tread distortion for better grip and durability
• Available in BLACK WALL, WHITE WALL (W/W) and DOUBLE WHITE STRIPE (DWS)

Why We Like It

• The bias-ply carcass soaks up surface imperfections better than a radial, and it is a large part of why this tire costs what it does.
• Top speed rating in this range is H (130 mph), so the rating is not the limiting factor on most bikes it fits.
• White wall finish done properly, which is harder to source than it should be for period-correct builds.

Why You’d Like It

• You put real miles on a cruiser or tourer and care more about mileage and straight-line stability than lap times.
• It fits 16-inch wheels.
• These are tube-type, so plan on a fresh tube (and a rim lock if you are running low pressure).
• The same tire works front or rear, which keeps spares simple if you run a matched set.
• Pricing runs $171.66 to $178.46 depending on size.
