When 24mm is the Right Choice
The 22mm BSF33Z is the correct choice for most street and mixed-use GD WRX builds. The 24mm BSF33X is for dedicated track use, autocross, or builds where front roll stiffness needs to be maximized to balance a very stiff rear setup or to minimize body roll on high-grip surfaces. Running maximum front bar stiffness without matched rear stiffness will produce significant understeer.

Calibrating for Track Use
On a dedicated track car, maximum front bar stiffness combined with appropriate rear bar calibration (BSR36XZ or BSR37XZ) and performance spring rates produces a very flat-cornering, responsive GD WRX that can be driven quickly with confidence. The three-position adjustment provides fine-tuning within the 24mm stiffness range.
